“This hotel is not a four star hotel unless you need to book a conference room and use the restaurants, the bar, etc. For a leisure traveler who wants a nice room, save money and book a room somewhere else.” Nov 5, 2011 by
Greg from Sand Coulee, MT
“Nice and clean hotel just that it is over-priced at regular rates. No breakfast, fridge or microwaves. However, with Priceline it was a great deal!” Aug 2, 2011 by
Justin from Knoxville, TN
“From the time the valet opened my car door to the time I checked out I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the beauty of the common areas in the hotel. I got in the elevator and headed to the fifth floor where the hallways were a definite upgrade compared to a regular 3 or 3.5 star hotel. When I opened the door to the room, however, I wasn't impressed at all. The beds were extremely comfortable, the huge windows were a plus, but the room furnishings and the bathroom (including complimentary soap and shampoo) weren't as "four star" as I had expected. The shower was pretty awful.” Jun 24, 2011 by
Fran from Naugatuck, CT
“Definitely would consider staying again. Only one problem with housekeeping. They did not tend to the room one day after being told we would leave the room within the hour (this was at 9 a.m.). When reported to the front desk that evening, the woman didn't really seem to care - kind of a "so what" attitude. Other than that everything was great.” Jun 21, 2011 by
Sherry from Cookeville, TN
“
I booked a king room on the 5th floor with a mountain view. Confirm three times and explained, (this was a gift for my friend’s wedding) to the staff that the accommodation was in order. I even confirm that they will arrive late and was told that will not be a problem. Yet when they arrive, there was only one room with a king size bed, which was handicap accessible on the 3rd floor. They settled for a room with double beds on the 5th floor.

“The Chattanoogan met and exceed our expectations! My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a night of luxury during a quick trip to Tennessee for a family member's graduation. The Chattanoogan did not disappoint. The bar/lounge had a fun band playing as a perfect backdrop to a relaxing glass of wine and snacks. And the beds and showers were just heavenly. We did breakfast in the Grille restaurant too. Wonderful service and freshly prepared meals with locally grown/sourced ingredients. All in all, a wonderful stay.” May 5, 2011 by
Kevin from Milton, GA

“Great place to stay! The best bed I may have ever slept in!” Jan 21, 2011 by
KayAnn from Brentwood, TN
“The Chattanoogan exceeded our expectations. The rooms were updated and very clean. We were worried when we checked in that it would be noisy, as a cheerleading competition was taking place in town, and cheerleaders were everywhere. It was an extravaganza of bows and glitter. But our room was very quiet, and we slept quite well in the very comfortable beds (even the pillows were nice). The only downside was the breakfast brunch. It was nearly inedible. I highly doubt it was prepared on premises, it was likely 'heat and eat' food judging from the astounding lack of quality.” Jan 10, 2011 by
Mitch from Franklin, TN
“ Best place in Chattanooga. that doesn't say a lot since Chattanooga is small, but its the closest you would come to a 4 star in a major city (better than Sheraton Reade House). Broad Street Grill is good, Foundry needs work. The live music is too loud. TV in health spa didn't work properly and no one knew how to fix it - I was pretty irritated because it had to be my idea to even call maintenance and then maintenance wasn't available. The entire maintenance staff was busy fixing a dishwasher in the restaurant. the problem was the TV just needed to have the channels reprogrammed. Finally after an hour and 15 minutes the restaurant manager and a cook came up to look at it. ” Oct 30, 2010 by
Liz from Atlanta, GA
“The Chattanoogan is an excellent hotel - comfortable beds, good food in the restaurant. Very close to the free transit to the aquarium, children's museum and the Chattanooga Choo Choo.” Oct 14, 2010 by
Andrew from Memphis, TN
“The Chattanoogan is an attractive place to stay at a reasonable price through Priceline. Well staffed and accommodated, you won't be disappointed!” Sep 20, 2010 by

“Very nice hotel and grounds. Impressed the interior of lobby and room.” Sep 4, 2010 by

“Overall great stay!” Jul 6, 2010 by

“Hotel was very nice. Room service was way too expensive, but excellent choices. Outstanding customer service, house-keeping to be specific. Thought parking was included, but not expensive anyway. One low, no mini-fridge. Bring a cooler.” May 21, 2010 by
Wilda from Birmingham, AL
“Area did not seem to be safe.” Apr 27, 2010 by
Jim from Dallas,GA
“
The mattress has some kind of foam topper that caused my wife and me to wake up several times, because it gets hot and you can not turn over easily. The breakfast buffet is overpriced and uninspired, Shoney's or Ryans is cheaper and better. Parking is $ 8 self park or $ 13 valet, too much.

“It was a very nice clean modern Hotel.” Mar 19, 2010 by
Mark from Birmingham,AL
“ The Chatanoogan is a centrally located hotel with nice amenities. The room was average but was clean and suitable for a hotel room. We enjoyed the heated indoor pool which was nice on the cold, winterly days. The pool is small and shallow (3-3.5 feet) but suited the needs of a 6 year old well. The lobby area is very nice with a cool see-through fireplace. The staff was efficient but did not go out of their way to help us as local tourists in getting some tickets that the hotel had to offer. The restaurants looked nice, but we did not dine in any of them. The hotel also has a spa available for pampering and a small exercise room. ” Nov 12, 2008 by
Brian from Columbus, GA
“Outstanding facility that has all of the high points covered well, quality of food, customer service, friendliness, etc. With attention to just a few fit-and-finish details (lighting in the bathroom, slope in the floor, valet key box out of place in opulent foyer), this would be among the best resorts available in its class. With a great location that is close to everything in Chattanooga from the family-friendly aquarium to several evening entertainment options, this resort is a quality stay.” Sep 9, 2008 by
Russell from Altamont, TN
“Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was about average, a nice bed, but a little small. We enjoyed the pool, especially the view of Lookout Mountain through the large windows around it. The restaurant was expensive, so we chose to eat elsewhere. Again the staff gave some excellent recommendations. All in all, a nice hotel. Would consider staying there again.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Will from Atlanta, GA
“This is a really nice hotel, well run, and very oriented to customer service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and competent. The room was beautiful. They do not have flat screen TV but the WiFi is free which is unusual at a high end hotel. Sort of far from the downtown activities but very close to a nice shuttle that runs most of the time.” Aug 10, 2008 by
Stacy from Hueytown, AL
“Extra clean, extra towels, great for couples or family. Everyone was very nice. Lots of staff willing to be there for what ever your needs are. The only complaint I have has to pay for parking in a hotel that owns the parking lot. I and the kids enjoyed the hotel a lot.” Jul 28, 2008 by
G.A. from Nashville, TN
“This seems to be for travelers on an expense account, not individual travelers. The staff is friendly. The building is pretty. Beyond that, though, the hotel is lavishly priced for no good reason. The room is average in size with 1 straight backed desk chair and 1 sitting chair. Parking is $11 plus hotel fees. Embassy Suites and other suite hotels are much nicer and more spacious and have more amenities (full breakfast). This hotel needs a service to earn its asking price. I would recommend other high-end chain hotels or an upscale B&B in Chattanooga as an alternative.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Carolyn from Hendersonville, TN
“The Chattanooga is centrally located, the rooms are clean and have fabulous comfortable beds. All of the staff was friendly, helpful and ready to please us anyway they could. A wonderful place to stay and relax.” Jun 10, 2008 by
Victoria from New York, NY
“Excellent hotel, clean & friendly staff. The facilities were wonderful.” May 25, 2008 by
Linda from Dahlonega, GA
“Stayed in hotel with my husband and in-laws. We were very happy with the accommodations and my sister-in-law and I even spent the morning in the spa. Very restful couple of days after months planning my son's wedding!” May 16, 2008 by
Mac from Boston, MA
“It is an unknown gem!” May 12, 2008 by
John from Lawrenceville, GA
“Linens were not changed prior to our arrival! It took 45 minutes to get a drink at the bar, there was a wedding reception going on at the time. There wasn't a remote control in our room when we arrived.” Apr 30, 2008 by
Alice from Albertville, AL
“We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was better than previous ratings stated. We will stay at this hotel again.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Nicholas from Nashville, TN
“This was a really great hotel with a wonderful ambiance due to the modern decor. The staff was professional and friendly. We visited the spa and I received a massage (Rhonda was excellent) & my wife really enjoyed her facial. The indoor pool is nice when its cold, but we would have liked an outdoor pool since the weather was nice! It's also a little small and became crowded when 5+ kids started splashing around. We absolutely loved the rooms & the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is nice and the shower had plenty of pressure & the water temperature was stable. The only thing we noticed missing was a mini-fridge. We took some food to go from the restaurant, but had no place to keep it cool. No big deal, but we found it odd given how nice the rest of the room was. Overall, we loved it and will always return when we visit Chattanooga.” Mar 24, 2008 by
Sharon from Madison, AL
“Overall, I was pleased with the location, room, dining and especially price quoted for the Chattanooga however, I was upset and still am chasing them down for an incident that occurred whilst staying with my five year old. She awoke the next morning with a rash and lumps all over her torso having never suffered from any allergies of any sort, I was immediately alarmed. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and housekeeping who agreed that the marks looked pretty bad. I informed them that I'd be traveling back home immediately to consult her pediatrician on the matter. Who sumized that this was probably caused "by contact" as my daughter has never suffered from a food or skin allergy. To conclude, this was more than likely a reaction to dirty bed linen. Thankfully my daughter is now fine and cleared up but the fact that the hotel has not called to follow up on this and I am indeed the one still leaving voicemail and trying to tract down the hotel room manager, has me more than upset. Any incident, even small in nature directly related to this Hotel should always be of concern to management. We are frequent travelers both domestically and internationally and I am appalled with their lack of service to clientele and shall never recommend this Hotel again.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Janet from Johnson City, TN
“This was an exquisite hotel. Well suited hotel rooms and lobby. Several restaurants to choose from, the hotel also had a day spa located inside. A few things that I did not like about the hotel was the pool, was located through the hotel spa and workout room, the pool was small and crowded. You had to pay for garage parking which was expensive. I had booked this hotel for its location to the convention center, but I found that it was a little farther than had originally thought, and saw other hotels that were closer and for location I would choose them next time. This hotel was beautiful and comfortable.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Dave from Lebanon, TN
“Love to stay at the Chattanooga and have twice. Beautiful, comfortable and upscale, the hotel is extremely well thought out in terms of providing a wow experience for it's guests. Wish the location was closer to the main attractions in town, but it's not so far that I wouldn't stay again. Also wish they had queen-sized beds in the double rooms, rather than standard-sized mattresses (not comfy when you're over 6'). A great experience for family, business or romantic getaway.” Nov 11, 2007 by
Virginia from Madisonville, KY
“Accommodations were lovely & view towards the mountains, breathtaking. Staff friendly & accommodating. Dining was too expensive so ate elsewhere.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Brenda from Cleveland, TN
“Attractive location and decor with excellent spa and banquet facilities. Still waiting for a phone call about an item we left in our room when we departed they need a phone system where you can actually talk with a staff member. The maid should have found our item and had someone call us, not the other way around.” Jul 26, 2007 by
Ida from Memphis, TN
“I expected this wonderful mountain view and a Jacuzzi. Well, that is only in a Presidential suite.” Jul 25, 2007 by
Monna from Decatur, AL
“Hotel was very nice. Decorator touch in every room; very pretty and contemporary. Food was excellent and staff very helpful. A fellow business associate had her laptop stolen during the morning break in the meeting room, which raises security issues. The laptop was never recovered.” Jul 16, 2007 by
Stacy from Tallahassee, FL
“I enjoyed my week long stay very much. In fact, I hated to leave. The staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean.” Jun 7, 2007 by
Kathryn from Greenville, SC
“Valet service is all or nothing. Valet took our bags, said they would bring them up to the room, we turned around and they had gone off and left them unattended outside the hotel. In trying to find the hotel, no one at the number, neither the desk, nor anyone at the hotel could tell us how to get there. The picture of the hotel on their website is a side that you cannot see from the major roads. The hotel stationary read "s. Broad sty", none of the city street signs read north or south, just broad street. Beds were worn; coils could be felt beneath the padding. TV is too low to view while lying in bed. Colors in the rooms were nice, pre-wired desk for computer was nice. Extra large bath towels were a very nice touch.” May 9, 2007 by
Fiona from Lagrange, GA
“Excellent position, spacious and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Quick in room service.” Nov 23, 2006 by

“Very nice hotel for convention goers. A bit away from the main attractions of downtown.” Jun 27, 2006 by
Leigh from Mcdonough, GA
“I really didn't see any of the hotel except my room and the lobby. Room was nice. Bed very comfortable. People at registration check-in & out, pleasant & helpful.” Jun 14, 2006 by
Angela from Van Buren, AR
“This hotel fully met the needs of my family with high quality standards. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were an acceptable size. (No separate sitting area, so kids going to bed early means everyone going to bed early.) Definitely worth the money!”
