“If you want to stay in Oranjestad this is a very nice hotel for the money. The private island is nice but very noisy being at the end of the runway for Arubas airport.”

“Check-in was a breeze and the staff was awesome. We were made to feel welcome by every staff member from the moment we hit the door. Bell staff told us to leave the bags at the door your on vacation now!!! Concierge staff was more than helpful and went out of their way to assist in any way they could to make our stay pleasant. The view from the balcony was partially obstructed but at night you could see a nice view of the city lights which was great and more than made up for the daytime view.”

“Mostly for families, beds are very comfortable, nice pool and there is a superb beach with a good snorkeling spot 100 yards away.”

“
This place is a great hotel to relax in. It has everything you need without having to go out in the city. It has a nice mall, a private island they take u to that is apart of the hotel, great gym to stay in shape. You can practical have your whole vacation by just staying at the hotel because they have so much to do there.

“Great value for the price, clean rooms, great location. Air conditioning not very strong, but easy to overlook at such a great hotel.”
The Westin Aruba Resort
“I was very pleased with the Westin - it was clean, in a nice location, and had 2 nice restaurants at which we dined - Pago Pago & Bon Bini Cafe. Although the room felt damp all the time, I think this is just an overall problem on the island due to the high humidity, as it was similar at the Renaissance where we also stayed on this trip. The beach was nice & you definitely should reserve a palapa in the morning (they start taking reservations at 7am each morning, but you should get there by 6:30am to get in line (off-season). You can walk to the nightlife & dining outside the Westin in 5-10 min. It would have been slightly more convenient to be a few hotels north of this location to be in the middle of all of the restaurants without having to walk as far, but that would probably mean more noise at night when you're sleeping.”

“The Palm Beach in Aruba was one of the best hotel/resorts I have recently stayed at. The staff was more than accomodating, actually going out of their way to make sure your every want was fulfilled. The General manager was available many mornings over coffee to meet and talk about your individual stay. Robert was very involved in the hotel and was knowledgeable about his staff and guests. Be sure to have a dinner at Azull's on the beach. It was an experience that you will rave about to your family and friends upon your return.”

“We had been here a few years ago and had a great time. Not so the second time! Our bathroom was dirty and the tub needed major repairs. While we love the island, the staff no longer made an effort to see if you wanted anything to eat or drink, as they did during our first trip. We suspect it was because their tips etc, are already included in the new required 12% service fee, (which does not include tax). They no longer need to work for tips. So we were charged 12% service fee to go to the counter, order our own drinks, and then bring them back to the beach. The 12% service fee is also added to the room rate each night you stay. When we checked out, the staff member told us there was a mistake and removed the charges. We then returned home to find that the charges were added back to our credit card. I tried contacting the hotel directly, (it was almost impossible to find their direct telephone number, so I had to email them), regarding this without a positive outcome. We won't be back to the Aruba Renaissance any time soon.”
La Cabana All-Suite Beach Resort and Casino
“Their beach is excellent - The hotel will be completely remolded by 2011 - The location is convenient to the high rise area and to Orangestadt - The staff is friendly and helpful - The price is very reasonable - What more could you want.”

“I really do not know where to start. I used to love this hotel. When we went to check in they tried to hit us with a $25.00 a night fee. The woman behind the desk was extremely rude. She took our papers and disappeared for 45 min. She then did this again. It took us 2 hours to check in with an upgrade to our room. The room was ocean view, right in front of the jack hammers in full bloom. Oh yes, plus there is construction in the lobby and things floating in the water. They sent us a plate of cheese and fruit with a bottle of wine. The fruit and cheese were sour and the wine glasses dirty. Last but not least were the bugs we found in our room. The manager was not accommodating at all. This was a trip for my 25th anniversary. They totally ruined my trip.”

“When we first arrived in Aruba and had gotten to our hotel we thought that it was very nice and family orientated. However, after being here for a couple of days things began to change and we were not enjoying the place so much. The first thing that went wrong with this hotel is the food is not very good and you could find better places out in town for a better price. The people are also not as friendly as they seem at this hotel because room service takes forever to answer their phones and also don't use things in the mini bar because you will have to call them a thousand times to have them refilled. Another thing that is wrong with this hotel is the fact that you have to get up at 7am to reserve a hut, but if you decide to leave then someone else can take your hut and they wont do anything. Lastly, the magic show that they offer at the resort is horrible and is not worth the 34 dollars you have to pay for a ticket. Besides that Aruba is a beautiful place and it is very relaxing.”

“Well here's our story: we arrived here the day before Christmas and were told they didn't have any record of our booking. But they were kind enough to put us up in a lesser room. Two days later, we learned that their accounts receivable person had been on vacation. When our payment came in and had forgotten to post our payment! The hotel offered no compensation, nor an apology. They did however agree to pay our phone charges racked up in calling back to the states to get things straightened out. well it's three months later and I haven't seen any refund. The group that manages this hotel is called intercontinental hotels group and they seem (unbelievably) to be more poorly run than this hotel. They can't even tell me who the owner of the hotel is so I can escalate my concern.”

“ Great in town location and we were able to watch the carnival from the pool deck. The rooms are on the small side, but very clean and well maintained. Also impressed with Aveda products in the room. We loved the private island beach and the boat ride to get there, although waiting for the boat was sometimes frustrating. ”

“Towels thin, room smelled, just seemed old and seedy. Noisy, crowded. Restaurants sub par.”

“Good hotel. It is a bit dated. Helpful staff but some confusion and a slow check-in process.”

“Solid 4 star resort. Met expectations (in a good way) but rarely exceeded them. Staff was slow but very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was there was a corporate conference for 4 of the 5 days we were there and it was extremely annoying-- long lines for restaurants and elevators. But they really did do their best to try to make the impact minimal.”
Golden Tulip Bucuti Beach Resort
“Cannot say enough great things about this resort. The beach is one of the largest, it is not crowded at all, even with resort at full capacity. Staff is extremely friendly & helpful, room was immaculate, housekeeping on top of things daily. Decor is European modern. We stayed in the Penthouse & the view was to die for! All the rooms in the Tara Suites have wonderful views! This is our new home away from home!”
Marriott Aruba Surf Club
“Awesome! I wish I was here for the first week.”
Renaissance Aruba Resort And Casino
“It was an overall good experience. The location, gym and friendly staff.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“What a great place! It's located right at the end of the high rises so all the beach area for miles as you walk north is like having your own private island. It's about a quarter mile south to an amazing assortment of shops and restaurants from familiar names like Fridays, and Hard Rock Cafe to a lot of great local restaurants serving island fare. It's an easy and safe walk through the adjoining Marriott Vacation Club properties. The staff was friendly and eager to please. You won't go wrong staying here.”

“We would stay there again. Beaches were clean as was the pool area which we would sit beside, but did not use to swim. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, the restaurants were good and their prices were reasonable.”
Hyatt Regency Aruba
“I would not stay at the Hyatt in Aruba ever again. The staff was not helpful and could care less if the guests are happy. The renovations in the room were poor. My fiance and I could hear everything that the group of people were saying in the room next to us. I have to say the concierge was very helpful. She was actually happy to help guests.”

“Beautiful hotel. Staff was attentive and helpful. The private island and pool were amazing. Great for both families and couples.”
Hyatt Regency Aruba
“The hotel is not well run and the GM does not care about guests being happy. The water is very dirty and smells of human waste. The area around the hotel has been built up too much and they can't treat the sewage. The sewers overflow and it's the worst thing. You can't see your feet in the water in front of the Hyatt and the ground is mush like dead matter with garbage. The hotel rooms are not nice anymore I was there twice and the renovation is cheap. Our room even smelled and the sheets were not changed for 3 days. Carpet so dirty in rooms we would only walk with socks on. Bead spread was fit to sit or put your body on as there were stains from others! The bugs on the beach were too much to handle. Noise in the room and could not sleep from other rooms and construction. This used to be a good place but no more. Tried to get things done by contacting the general manager and she never even called. Stay away, you've been warned!”

“Hotel was still undergoing some construction work but was not too overbearing. Upgraded room on check-in. Hotel is located at the end of the high-rise hotels meaning the hotel beach is fairly quiet - a big plus. A little expensive to shop/dine in the hotel. Outstanding value. Housekeeping couldn't do enough to accommodate any requests.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Nice beach, easy access, friendly staff. Room was newly remodeled with a nice lounge area.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“It ended up being the perfect end of an amazing trip. A trip of lifetime so far. Staff was very friendly; you get cool towels and a drink when you come in to check in the hotel. Very nice after the beach. Nice rooms and spacious areas for restroom and closet. Exceeded my expectations.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Excellent location with excellent rooms. If it weren't for the poor customer service, it would have been an amazing experience.”
The Westin Aruba Resort
“This was a wonderful hotel right on Palm Beach in Aruba. The service was incredible and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. We loved our stay here and would love to stay here again.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Hotel was great and will be better when construction is finished. Construction was not an issue.”
The Westin Aruba Resort
“This was a great hotel for our last 3 nights in Aruba. The comfort in the room was amazing, the activities were well planned out and kids had fun, the drinks at the pool area were reasonably priced and very delicious -- overall we had a fabulous time at the Westin Aruba resort. The only item we had was that the pool needs some renovation to it (noticed cracks/tiles missing) but other than that it was perfect.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“The overall experience in this hotel was really perfect. I am recommending to any who is traveling to Aruba. From check in until check out, everything was perfect. All staff was very friendly, even more than that I have expected. The facilities are very nice, beautiful pool, very nice beach, very good restaurants around, and nice room service. The casino is very nice. In one word: excellent!”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Wonderful oceanfront resort. Great for short stays. Plan to do all your shopping and dining at the resort. There is nothing within walking distance. (Taxi required.) Every room had a nice view. Renovations were in progress (July '08) but were isolated to specific areas and did not cause noise or disturbance at all, that I could tell. All rooms are non-smoking, but the casino is dense with smoke. Rooms are high tech, with flat panel TV and all the plugs and jacks you could want. Nice bathroom with double sinks and fancy Kohler fixtures. Everything clean and fresh.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Resort has something for any traveler, family friendly, romantic, and has great scenery with beautiful beach.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“If you love a great hotel, on the water & everything that goes with it. It's for you.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“The Marriott Stellaris Resort & Casino in Aruba is extremely nice. Hotel and grounds were well kept and staff is more than friendly and helpful. The only down fall is the Marriott is the last high rise on Palm Beach and in order to get to other properties or areas you either need to have a car, taxi or bus, unless like us we would walk up the beach and cut through the Holiday Inn SunSpree which than puts in the middle of several shopping and dining options.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“I plan to come again.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Great! I loved everything about it!”
Hyatt Regency Aruba
“The hotel was great, and the food was excellent. Camped out on the beach (where the attendants were very helpful) I watched all of the sporting activities--there was a ton of activity. The bar on the pier was lively once the sun set. Best place to eat on the island: Flying Fishbone. While the Hyatt in Aruba is nice, Aruba itself is not worth the trip. It is not a tropical island. Rather it's a wind swept sand bar 20 miles north of Venezuela. Try the Hyatt on Kauai. As nice as their property is on Aruba, the one on Kauai is incredible, and that island offers a ton of natural beauty as well.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Avery nice place for couples or families.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“The hotel is nice, still in process of renovating though. The room is very nice, food is pricy, internet very expensive. Nice pool chairs where am sitting right now, writing this review. I would recommend this hotel.”
Renaissance Aruba Resort And Casino
“When we checked in to the Marina Renaissance, I was very disappointed. The pool overlooks the road that is busy with cars all day long. The bedroom was small and cramped, and the view was an alley with construction going on. When I asked to change hotel, the management were very accommodating and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort. We loved the Reanniansce beach resort. The suites were large and must have been recently remodeled. The bedding was luxurious, and there was a balcony with an ocean view. The restaurant staff were very nice as were all the staff. I cant wait to go back. The weather was great, the pools very nice, the casinos were fun, etc. It was a great property and will definitely go again to the Renaissance Beach resort. Thanks you.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“Wonderful value for the money. It was newly renovated and reflected the pride the Marriott chain maintains in it's properties. Staff was very courteous and helpful. It was a pleasure staying in a clean and comfortable environment. I would definitely stay there again.”
Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino
“A very nice Resort. A great place for couples and families to go and enjoy the white beaches of Aruba. The attentive staff will make your stay effortless and comfortable.”
