“The Renaissance Hotel in Richardson is a very nice property. It has all the amenities of a first class hotel. I've stayed at a lot of Renaissance properties and all are nice, but this may be the best.”

  • Loved the indoor pool and whirlpool.
  • Had to pay for parking.

  • The public spaces were nicely done.

“The hotel was nice and clean. The down side is I had to pay for parking and wireless which added about $20/night to the bill.”

  • The swimming pool is on the bottom floor not on a higher level.

  • Nothing I didn't like.

“The hotel was more than we expected. It was relatively new. Parking was conveniently located in a garage across from the valet services. The room was really comfortable with a nice balcony view. The bed was equipped with a down comforter and feather mattress cover. The lobby areas were gorgeous.”

  • Friendly male front desk staff.
  • Very unfriendly female front desk staff. The phone and computers were down from the evening till the next day I left.

“The female staff is absolutely unfriendly. The restaurant and bar are the pits. Slow and not very many items and buffet does not get refilled. Food is too expensive for what they give.”

  • Very clean and has an open feeling.
  • Room is quite close to the elevator. People tend to continue on with their conversation, loudly.

“It is a very nice hotel with friendly staff. I certainly enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the morning.”

  • Very clean. Great location. Helpful staff.
  • No vents in the bathrooms. No fridge or microwave in rooms. Paid parking.

“I was able to get a very nice room at a great price. After we arrived, we were accommodated with our request for adjoining rooms. They did want to put a hold on our credit card for incidentals, but we convinced them to let us pay for our parking up front with cash and then we had them turn all other services off. I had researched and was prepared for the paid parking. We self parked and avoided having to tip for valet. The parking is in a parking garage and is discounted for hotel guests. The most important thing to me is room cleanliness and this hotel exceeded my expectations. It's one of the few Ive stayed in where I didn't feel I had to be afraid to walk barefoot in the room or stand on a washcloth in the shower.”

  • The view from the elevator and the decor of the hotel was nice.
  • 1. No free internet 2. Parking garage far away 3. No refrigerator in room.

“4 star accommodations set an expectation for me and it doesn't include art on the wall or the furniture. The rooms were comfortable, but all hotels are. Staff members were friendly - but seemed competitive to see who "gets the tip" both in the restaurant and the valet/bell) rather than customer satisfaction. Would I go back to this hotel - I would not. With amenities being a bonus - this hotel chose to nickel and dime me to death (or $10 me to death) for things I feel other hotels give to their customers as a "thank you" for choosing us reward. PS I received free internet from the City of Richardson, (because I was on the 10th floor) as opposed to the $10 per day fee from the hotel.”

  • Very attractive, helpful & friendly staff.
  • Was a bit noisier than I expected.

“This is a very attractive hotel with nicely appointed rooms. It seems most suited to the business traveler. I would not recommend it for families. Nice, adequately sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Horrible view (roof top with mechanical systems) from our room on the 2nd floor. The room was not as quiet as I had expected, as I could hear the plumbing from neighboring rooms, doors slamming, etc., Excellent staff.”
