“Great hotel, love the room and the food for breakfast was great. Even my finicky little one found something that he liked to eat! Will go back anytime we are in Austin.”

“I have been staying at Habitat for over 8 years and always felt it is a hidden gem. The initial attraction was it was one of the first green hotels, but the added bonuses include quiet, serene surroundings, an oasis pool with a waterfall and gardens. The fabulous full breakfast buffet includes fresh and organic offerings alongside some delicious breakfast entrees, Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the proximity to attractions is very close. A great deal! Quiet, clean, green, fabulous breakfast, close to town. Older property, less than glamorous location.”

“This hotel is a great place to stay for people visiting Austin or even people needing an extended stay. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, the staff is super friendly, and the breakfast is by far one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had. Perfect place for families to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“A great selection of beverages and snacks each evening. Comfortable and clean rooms. Relaxing atmosphere with beautiful natural surrounds and peaceful silence. Not expected in this location which is very good (close to downtown) and within walking distance from the mall. Free hot breakfast that includes eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hot and cold cereals, fruits, juices, milk, coffee and teas. Also has a Happy Hour with a vegan/vegetarian choice along side the 145 & normal 146 types of selections. Even has posted quiet hours notices to guests. Highly recommended!”

“Habitat Suites is an environmentally safe place for me to stay! As a person with environmental illness, it is almost impossible to find a hotel that won't worsen my medical condition due to the chemicals in cleaners, detergents, etc. I cannot say how much it meant to hit the sheets and not break out in hives. The bed was so comfy that I slept the best I had in months! I even got to use the pool which has salt water instead of chlorine. I was in heaven! My over all experience exceeded my standards which is very rare indeed! HS is a safe haven for me that I am so happy I discovered. Maybe it will be for other people with mild chemical sensitivity. The staff are very accommodating and the hotel itself is generous. I loved the organic gardens around the grounds. I will definitely be back!”

“I used Habitat Suites for out-of-town guests at my wedding and it received rave reviews all around. Now I always stay there whenever I need a hotel in Austin. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms spacious. The staff is very friendly and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. They have a neat garden around the pool with organic plants and flowers. They do not use chlorine in their pool, so it feels very nice on your skin. Just make sure you're prepared to be quiet during your stay, as that is a high priority for the staff (for the consideration of other guests).”

“From the moment we stepped into the friendly lobby and then walked through the beautiful garden-lined walkways to our huge and ultra-modern suites. We knew we were in paradise. The happy hour was superb with beer and wine and plenty of fresh cooked food and snacks. Sausages, spinach balls with ranch, mini pizza rolls, fruits and veggies, chips and salsa. All was outstanding. The breakfast was superb also. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruits, juices, pastries, hot and cold cereals, and coffee and TAZO teas. Without hesitation, we loved it.”

“What a wonderful weekend experience we had at the Austin Habitat Suites! The check-in was smooth, the happy hour in the evening was spectacular--cheesy spinach balls with ranch, smokey cocktail sausages, mini pizza rolls with marinara, chips and salsa, and a fruit and veggie tray with cheeses and crackers was washed down with an array of wines and beers. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were plush, and the sound sleep was hard to break if it were not for the thought of the expected great breakfast. What a treat to wake up to! Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, french toast, breads and pastries, fruits, juices, milks , coffees and of course the outstanding TAZO teas. We almost wanted to cancel work for the next week and stay in paradise - this place is that outstanding. We definitely will return!”

“I stayed at this hotel every time I travel to Austin and don't even look elsewhere when booking a hotel. Its basically a condo/apartment complex converted to a hotel so you get your own apartment with full kitchen and living room. Your front door opens to a nice patio/balcony surrounded by lush green landscaping with mature trees in a quiet part of town. They serve a full breakfast, nothing special except that you can sit at the poolside and enjoy the great outdoors and the nice Austin (most of the time) weather. Feels like coming home to my own place after a night out on sixth street which is just a short drive away.”

“My husband and I really enjoyed the hospitality so much we are planning on spending our 5th wedding anniversary there. The intimate social hour was great. There was a great selection of beverages and snacks each evening. The suite was very comfortable and clean. It was extremely quite on the grounds. The trees made it even more relaxing. The location was very good, close to downtown and walking distance from the mall. This was a quite getaway.”

“I have had the pleasure of staying at the Habitat Suites several times in the past few years. My daughter (and only child) was attending college there in Austin and Habitat Suites was the perfect place to stay to help alleviate my separation anxiety. It is always clean, comfortable and has every comfort of home, from the living/sitting area to the separate bed and bathrooms and I can leave out the fully equipped kitchens. I have told all of my friends about Habitat Suites, and many of them have stayed. I also travel back and forward to Austin on business and habitat is my home during those stays as well. It's truly a wonderful place to Stay.”

“Imagine a combination of ski lodge, New Age spa, and friendly apartment complex surrounded by greenery, and with a generous breakfast and evening Happy hour. Fireplaces in the downstairs suites, kitchens in all of them (that I've seen, anyway), and a sincere effort to be greener than other hotels. I would highly recommend this place if you like peace and quiet.”

“I love staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is spacious, secluded, and has beautiful landscape. The kitchenette allows you the convenience of cooking meals and heating left-overs if you wanted to. The free breakfast is delicious and the manager reception in the evening is relaxing. I love to stay at this hotel because it reminds you of home. However, I must say that the room decor could use some updating.”

“Our experience was exceptionally good at habitat suites. Only one minor incident with the milk for my mom's coffee. Everything was clean and pretty and the staff was very friendly. It is a little difficult to find but it's worth it! I would recommend habitat suites to everyone.”
