  • The bed was SO comfortable and the view was spectacular!
  • The waitress in the bistro spoke broken English (Spanish).

“ I would highly recommend this hotel to friends. Everything was lovely. The only problem I experienced was with the waitress in the Bistro. Her English was so poor we had a problem communicating. ”

  • The room size, location and comfort of the beds was perfect.

“The hotel is in the center of the Arboretum with great shopping and restaurants all around. It is a convenient location to Loop 1, Loop 360 and Highway 183. The rooms are large and comfortable. The elevators are quick. I would definitively stay here again.”

  • Availability of complimentary Wall Street Journal on weekdays.
  • Air conditioning in atrium was way too cold.

“Friendly staff, clean, upscale, comfortable big rooms.”

  • Very nice hotel, clean rooms and
    decent amenities.
  • Noisy party in suite next to my room at 2 a.m. That took a while to quiet down.

“Very good hotel.”

  • I loved the amenities, health club, hot tub, upscale toiletries in the room, the linens.
  • It was a little bit empty on the night I traveled but it was a Monday.

“I really liked the location, amenities and overall ambiance at this hotel. It made my stay very relaxing and I loved the coffee shop in the hotel. I have already recommended this to my boss and she is staying there in the next couple of weeks.”

  • The hotel is centrally located, however you will need a vehicle even if to go downtown.
  • Dark and dingy hotel. Very dated feeling, no maid service, hard beds, sketchy clientle, dirty feeling.

“This hotel failed on all levels.
I thought it would be on the level of a Residence Inn. I was very wrong. The hotel has virtually no ammenities at all. There is one vending machine in the small lobby. The rooms are small and the carpet looks and feels like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There is a loud wall A/C unit that struggles to keep the room cool, while blowing out pieces of black foam or dirt on the nearby floor.”

  • Beautiful surroundings, spacious facility, great location close to shops and dining.
  • No channel guide provided for 42 inch flat screen LG TV

“Anyone looking for a luxurious place to stay in Northwest Austin, close to upscale shopping and dining, with exceptional, friendly service will be very pleased with what this hotel has to offer.”

  • Great location.
  • Beautiful hotel and airconditioning did not work properly.

“Very nice hotel located Austin Texas. Very good restaurants within walking distance. Hotel was very clean and attractive. Air conditioning in our room was not working properly, however, others in the group had no problem with their units. The beds were very comfortable.”

  • Most staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room details (curtains, countertops, etc.) were high quality!
  • The hotel charged very high prices for services other hotels offer for free, such as continental breakfast.

“The Renaissance Hotel in Austin, Texas, has a lot of good points. It is well situated for shopping at the Austin Arboretum. The concierge and desk staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and very well appointed. However, if the hotel was a luxury establishment, they also acted like it. Continental breakfast is expensive. Buffet breakfast closes early, limiting your options. A 10oz bottle of juice costs $4. We got a great price on the room, but the cost of other services took the savings.”

  • It has improved over last year - clean & efficient.
  • Forgot to put coffee in room.

“This hotel was going downhill for several years. However, it appears that the management has made an effort to reverse this trend. Service was good and room was clean.”

  • Very nice staff, clean rooms, pretty hotel.
  • Room service forgot my extra plate, coffee and then forgot coffee cups.

“This was a very nice hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very clean.”

  • Location.
  • Proximity/access to covered parking.

“Good location. Would prefer to stay here during my future visits. One complaint, the Republican Convention was on and I was told that they would not allow for volume on the TV because of the piano player. Luckily the remaining patrons all voted for the TV over the piano. If this would not have been allowed I would never stay here again. I can't fathom the concept that piano music is more important then this country's presidential race.”
