“The hotel is in the center of the Arboretum with great shopping and restaurants all around. It is a convenient location to Loop 1, Loop 360 and Highway 183. The rooms are large and comfortable. The elevators are quick. I would definitively stay here again.”

“I really liked the location, amenities and overall ambiance at this hotel. It made my stay very relaxing and I loved the coffee shop in the hotel. I have already recommended this to my boss and she is staying there in the next couple of weeks.”

“This hotel failed on all levels.
I thought it would be on the level of a Residence Inn. I was very wrong. The hotel has virtually no ammenities at all. There is one vending machine in the small lobby. The rooms are small and the carpet looks and feels like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There is a loud wall A/C unit that struggles to keep the room cool, while blowing out pieces of black foam or dirt on the nearby floor.”

“Very nice hotel located Austin Texas. Very good restaurants within walking distance. Hotel was very clean and attractive. Air conditioning in our room was not working properly, however, others in the group had no problem with their units. The beds were very comfortable.”

“The Renaissance Hotel in Austin, Texas, has a lot of good points. It is well situated for shopping at the Austin Arboretum. The concierge and desk staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and very well appointed. However, if the hotel was a luxury establishment, they also acted like it. Continental breakfast is expensive. Buffet breakfast closes early, limiting your options. A 10oz bottle of juice costs $4. We got a great price on the room, but the cost of other services took the savings.”

“This hotel was going downhill for several years. However, it appears that the management has made an effort to reverse this trend. Service was good and room was clean.”

“Good location. Would prefer to stay here during my future visits. One complaint, the Republican Convention was on and I was told that they would not allow for volume on the TV because of the piano player. Luckily the remaining patrons all voted for the TV over the piano. If this would not have been allowed I would never stay here again. I can't fathom the concept that piano music is more important then this country's presidential race.”

“The Renaissance is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful and convenient location. The rooms lack a safe, minibar, refrigerator, and microwave oven. Also, the rooms have very poor (dim) and unflattering lighting and for some strange reason, the hangars do not fit in the closet lengthwise (door to back wall) so clothes wrinkle easily. The lobby cafe is very expensive as is the restaurant for the quality. At breakfast I had to be moved to another table because of ants at the first one. I also noticed the air vents in the ballroom were filthy. I did enjoy the free self parking and the outstanding staff. I would definitely return because of the staff!”

“This hotel was really very nice. It's in a great location and offers many amenities. The only drawback for business travelers has to pay a fee to access the internet from your own computer. However, I would stay here again.”
